sinful, but pretty sweet treat.

Today's the first time I'm having a dessert buffet early in the morning 10.30am. haha! Met gof at orchard ion and proceeded to swensens for dessert buffet! The place was quite empty at that time but we're not the first customers, there were people there for breakfast already. swensens for breakfast sia. Swensens at ion is quite big and grand, I like the colourful decorations for their dessert booths and the way they arrange their 40-variety toppings, brown chocolate and white chocolate fondue and more. When I saw all the stuffs, I felt happy already!

The 50 over different flavours of ice-cream right in front of me.
But I feel that their ice-cream worth only 7/10 points. There's no particular flavour that I think is really awesome. I don't have the wow feeling when I taste them, quite a disappointment. ben & jerry's and baskin robins ice-cream are still the best!

White chocolate and brown chocolate fondue! The white chocolate fondue looks really nice here, but the brown chocolate fondue definitely tastes better. strawberries + chocolate = HEAVEN.
When we dipped the food with chocolate and bite it with our teeth, all the chocolate got stained on our teeth, lips and areas around the mouth, we were so unglam and funny with all the chocolate stains. Especially sushan with her braces somemore, haha. Girls, BAD idea to have chocolate fondue for dates!

Mini chocolate chunks, marshmallows, cornflakes, rainbow sprinkles and all kinds of nuts as toppings for our ice-cream! BUT, all the crispy stuffs went soft after being left there for such a long time. points deducted again!

Besides ice-cream and fondue, there were also waffles, pancakes, cakes and tarts. Their waffles and pancakes were nice, when topped up with maple syrup, chocolate sauce and nuts. Their cakes and tarts were another disappointment :( So overall, only 6.5/10 points. I guess this dessert buffet is not very worthy of it's price of around 20 bucks. And after the buffet, I felt hungry still and was craving for food like rice and noodles, hahaha.

NP sent me an email last week saying that there's no more vacancy for my course. Well, at least I tried and did all I can. There goes my heavily subsidized boston internship, haha. I've applied SEED institute, my very very last choice already. So my school is pushed to july if I get accepted, which means HELLO WORKING LIFE again. Back to CZ for relief teaching in the morning. But I don't have a class of my own now :( Although work is alot lighter without a class, but sometimes I feel unattached to the students and school. The happy thing is that my class said that they missed me! I'll be in their class and help felicia in the teaching and after-sch classes as I can see that she's very stressed up since their SA1 is nearing. Sometimes I feel that teachers are more stressful than the kids taking exams. My relief teaching is going to end in may as the june holidays come. Meaning that I'm going to be jobless in june, 1 more month to starting of school only. I've actually thought of doing some volunteering work with kids for the month of june, at least to do something meaningful instead of working all the time. Anyone has any lobang for volunteer work can tell me, greatly appreciated!

$5 tree, and more trees, and little flowers

Went to botanic garden last last sat! With a strength of only 4, because some people PANGSEHED us, still write until so nice in his blog. HAHAHA. It's damn obvious who I'm talking about. While the others cannot make it. It's okay :)

Tada! the $5 tree that you always see on your 5 dollars note. I saw it ALIVE in the botanics! They actually constructed bamboo poles to support the extra tree branch that grew out to protect and prevent it from breaking. Many people tried climbing the tree branch that's why, we tried climbing too. It was quite a challenge actually, because the tree branch was slippery. But I must say they've conserved this tree really well, still staying strong!

Finally get to take a gof picture with the tree after so many failed attempts. haha.
Since it's botanic garden: MORE trees coming up!

I like to take photos of long paths like this, reminding me that I have a long way to run and explore ahead of me in my life, and that I must continue to look ahead every time.
Sick of trees? Now for some flowers! There are really very few flowers you can find in botanics, mostly fallen ones, haha.

These are the flowers picked by sushan, and we started to camwhore with the flowers. This photo is so dumb lah, hua chi somemore. nah, your long awaited photo is here! And the 2 GENTLEMEN actually went off to find a place to sit down and have their couple lunch together without calling us. Left us in the middle of nowhere calling their names and for help like dum dums. THANKS AH GUYS.

oh yah, ALL THE BEST TO MY GIRLFRIENDS who are mugging for their upcoming exams! You girls can do it! Soon it'll be all over, JIAYOUS :D

My mini farewell celebrations :D

Last friday marked the end of my teaching journey in CZ. The P4 teachers actually planned a mini farewell for me on tuesday during teachers' meeting. It was so sweeeet of them :))) They chipped in money to buy me a jacket and mini cakes for all the teachers and we had a prize presentation ceremony in the meeting room, haha. They even asked me to give a short speech. Although they won't like read my blog, but still, A BIG THANK YOU!

Mini chocolate mousse cakes from emicakes! Only get to take 2 of them leftovers.

The 129 bucks jacket from Bershka! The teacher bought an S size for me as she thought that I was very skinny, turn out that it was too small. hahaha. I went to change for a M size when I get to know how much was the jacket. I really zuan dao :D

My students didn't know about my last day until the new relief teacher told the class. She "ganged up" with the class and wanted to give me a surprise. They used coloured papers to make farewell cards for me during lessons. Not knowing, I went up to class and the whole class screamed when they saw me. They went, "AHHHH! MS LEONG! KEEP! KEEP! KEEP THE CARDS!" It's was so obvious la, but I pretended that I saw and heard nothing and left the classroom. HAHAHA. I took them for the last 3 periods and all of them started running towards me with their cards and gave me a hug. AWWW, SO SWEET.

Some of my students even bought me little gifts!

The new relief teacher who is going to take over me is called felicia. She's nice and good in teaching too. I guess 4D will be good with her :) She also bought me a farewell gift, how sweet.

I also bought gifts and made cards for the p4 teachers and my students! But I think it's not very well done. But it's the thoughts that counts right. haha!

These little things really liftened up my mood for the week. Because bad news, my application to np was unsuccessful. I'm not going to give up! going to appeal :)

hectic weeks finally over!

My teaching journey with my form class is finally over. Today was the last day with my class and yet I did not get to teach them for the last 2 days. Got such a bad sore throat that ended up with no voice to talk at all. What a present for them for the last day. haha. A new relief teacher's going to take over me from next monday onwards. I think I may have been working too much, that I felt so much relieved after handing over my class. Like I don't have to carry such a heavy burden anymore, guess I'm tired from working. haha. I WANT TO STUDY. I can't wait for school to start. I must be crazy. haha. My posting results are going to be out on 4th april :)

I've just realised that I've been working since the A levels are over. The preschoolers, the coffee nations, Esprit and relief teaching at CZ. Woah, I've been switching so many jobs these 2 years. And I'm satisfied with the numbers in my bank account :D Finally next friday will be my last day of work!

Celebrated zhang xiang's birthday last sat. We were supposed to celebrate clement's birthday also but he was too tired after his trainings. Went to just acia at marina for dinner. I still strongly recommend that place! I think the price is really worthy for main course plus free flow of drinks and ice cream plus the food is nice. I've went there several times and I'll still go back. After dinner was post activities planned by me, Earth Hour which bored so many of them. HAHAHA. I kena scam too okay. There were no concerts or carnivals going on when we reached and we just sat there with our light sticks for that one hour. Maybe we went too late, not entirely my fault! Some of us actually saw the lights going out from the buildings at 8.30pm and I think that's quite cool. The scenery at marina bay sands was damn nice and colourful too! I don't think we regret walking along marina bay sands that night. At least we did not stand around and stare at one another thinking what to do after dinner like we always do, I think I'm quite successful. HAHA.

sushan, I kopped your photos. haha :)
