Safety, Health & Nutritions!

I'm having safety, health and nutritions module this few weeks and it's a really fun mod! We need to take photos of the potential hazards to children at home, and i literally lay all my toys messily on the floor and took pictures of it. My family was asking me what the heck i'm doing early in the morning. hahaha. I've just found out that my house is a very dangerous place for kids, spotted so many hazards at home.

We went to health promotion board to learn about health of children, first school excursion! Truthfully, i haven been to health promotion board before and it's my first time going there. There are so many activities and games to participate in. I think kids definitely gonna have lots of fun over there because we adults enjoyed ourselves. Even the mothers were having so much fun. haha.

I like the big mouth!

Look at how happy the mothers are enjoying the games. They're so cute!

This is how I will look if i take drugs. lol.

No matter how many negative impacts i tell the men in my house, they won't quit smoking :/

FOOD FOR KIDS! Each group have to come up with a healthy and nutritious 5-day menu for childcare centres. It's such a headache to plan the menu, have so many areas to consider: the different nutrients they need, the different food groups, the appropiate servings they require O.o But i guess i learnt alot about eating and food. We have to choose a dish from our menu to cook and present it in class today. Our group's dish is: fruit crepe a.k.a Yummy Rainbow! i know it sounds lame, but it's for kids you see. haha. Photos below!

It's actually a crepe with strawberries+kiwi+mango+yoghurt+cornflakes inside. It doesn't look really appetizing here. haha. But my lecturer said that it's colourful and attractive, and the kids should love it :))) My classmates tried it and they keep coming back for more! The mothers even ask us for the recipe.

Here are what the other groups have made. Some of them are so cute and thoughtful, you can see various kinds of shapes and animals in their food. I think their food presentation is so much nicer and cuter than ours.

Bunny egg sandwich.

Yummy teddy bears pasta. This is so cute!

Clown-face Tortilla.

Heart-shaped minced meat, star-shaped mixed-grain rice.

Super mighty spaghetti.

Tropical Roll, coconut tree.

Heart-shaped egg sandwiches. Flowers, leaves and even birds using carrots.

Look at how much effort we guys put in making meals for kids. Just for them to eat their vege and food happily. But i don't think the cook in the centre will be happy in making all these food as it requires so much work. She will be the first one to object our menu. haha.

One assignment followed by another down! 3 more to go before my long-awaited holidays come. By the time my holis start, my gfs start school and most guys enter army already. Rawrrr.

Chefs in my group!
